Meet the Members

"We have lived at Carolina Trace for 10 plus years and have never regretted our choice to move to North Carolina from Connecticut – getting away from the severe winters – and settling in central Carolina where the climate is warm and mild with a minimal impact from hurricanes, while still having four beautiful seasons. It has been the first move we have made where it took no time at all to meet the residents and become involved in many activities that we enjoy – including golf, bridge, chorus and volunteer Board and Hospital work. The people here make Trace a special place to live. Carolina Trace has ideal proximity for a private community that captures the friendly suburban atmosphere and only a few miles away is major shops, renown universities and medical facilities, professional sporting events and cultural attractions."

"Quite simply, we chose to live at Carolina Trace because of the community atmosphere. Originally, when we started looking for a place to retire to, we went on-line concentrating on places that offered championship golf. Once we drove into the entrance to Trace we knew that this was it! We liked the diversity of the homes, an established twenty-four hour gated community, the secluded feeling of the individual neighborhoods, the activities offered, the golf courses, of course, and the overall friendliness of everyone we talked to. It was a hard decision to leave our family and new grandson, so we were very selective in finding exactly what we thought would make us happy. A major benefit for us was that Scottie's parents, also found Trace to accommodate their next steps in life, and are just as happy as we are. There is so much offered to satisfy everyone's needs with a great blending of all age groups! As it turns out, our family comes down to visit more than we go back up north."

"We chose Carolina Trace because we met a number of couples through our friends Terry and Mary Lynn, and felt we had a whole bunch of new friends before we had even found a house and moved to Trace. We joined the Club as Equity Family Golfers for the obvious reason that we both play and wanted to have unlimited access to both of the Robert Trent Jones, Sr. courses. But in addition, we chose an Equity Family Golf membership because we wanted to have a say in how the Club is operated, and Equity membership allows us to get involved in key committees that influence Club policy and future growth and stability. Rightly so, folks say that Trace is a friendly place to live, and we have made more genuine friends at Trace then anywhere else we have lived combined!"

"We were looking for an active golf community when we happened upon Carolina Trace on the Internet. We planned to look at several golf communities before deciding where we wanted to live next. Carolina Trace was the first community in the Sandhills of North Carolina that we visited, and the lovely entrance accented by Lake Trace immediately attracted us. In real estate, they say that it's all about location; well Carolina Trace had this for us with its proximity to Fort Bragg and Raleigh Airport. As a retired Air Force officer, having access to a military facility was especially important. Once we had found Trace, the things that tipped the balance for us were: two superior Robert Trent Jones, Sr. golf courses, a clubhouse restaurant always open to members six days a week regardless of any special events, the ability to own your own golf cart, and the numerous choices of established activities available. The host program allowed us to meet the residents of Trace and discover how friendly, warm and laid back everyone was. We're home; we just love it here!"
