Non Resident Membership Levels
There are two Non Resident membership levels, Equity Golf and Non Equity Golf. You do not have to live at Carolina Trace to join the Club.
Non Resident, Equity Golf
To join as a Non Resident, Equity Golf member you
reside outside of a 25-mile radius of Carolina Trace
as circumscribed on a map (not road miles).
Non Resident, Equity Golf members are able to join the Club while not permanently residing at Carolina Trace and secure the current Equity initiation fee and Equity certificate. An annual fee is billed each year.
Non Resident members enjoy unlimited social and golf privileges and are able to “pay for golf as you play” (guest green and cart fees). Non Resident Equity Golf members are part-owners of the Club and retain all voting privileges as a Resident Equity Golf member. Non Resident members living at Carolina Trace or within a 25-mile radius for thirty-two (32 of 60) consecutive days will pay the same monthly dues and fees as a resident Equity Golf member for that period of time. Non Resident members may not reside at Trace or within a 25-mile radius for more than six months per calendar year. Non Resident members are not subject to a food and dining room minimum.
If you plan to permanently reside at Carolina Trace or live within a 25-mile radius, you must transfer to a Resident membership level and will NOT pay a Resident initiation fee. As a Resident member you simply begin paying resident dues per the resident membership level you select (as the Equity initiation fee and Equity certificate would already be paid). This membership level allows you to enjoy club privileges when you visit, and take advantage of the prices in effect when you first joined-- should you ever plan to reside permanently at Carolina Trace or live within a
25-mile radius.
Non Resident, Non Equity Golf
To join as a Non Resident, Non Equity Golf member
you reside outside of a 25-mile radius of Carolina Trace
as circumscribed on a map (not road miles).
Non Resident, Non Equity Golf members are able to join the Club while not permanently residing at Carolina Trace and pay a Non Resident initiation fee and will eventually pay a resident initiation fee (if and when you permanently reside at Carolina Trace or live within a 25-mile radius).

We may apply a portion of the Non Resident initiation fee paid towards the then Resident initiation fee of your selected Resident membership level. This membership level allows you to enjoy club privileges while you visit, and is mostly a great fit for someone who never plans to reside at Carolina Trace.
