World-Class Tennis

©
Members of Carolina Trace Country Club are fortunate to have four lighted soft surface tennis courts as part of the Clubhouse complex. Our tennis courts are surfaced with Har-Tru®, the most popular artificial clay court surfacing material in the United States. Our courts are considered as some of the best courts in North Carolina.

Tennis is thriving at Trace. There are many tournaments and groups to join at all levels of play.

The courts are irrigated by a Hydro-Court underground watering system, which automatically delivers the correct amount of moisture to the courts to keep them in peak playing condition at all times. This state-of-the-art system is the envy of many larger tennis complexes, and provides Carolina Trace tennis players with the finest playing surface available. The courts are lighted for evening play, and are in use all year-long with our mild four-season climate.

The Carolina Trace Tennis Association is comprised of men and women who enjoy tennis as their primary sports activity as well as those who enjoy both tennis and golf. There is an active schedule of both men's and women's play, with opportunities for regularly scheduled drop-in play, scheduled and informal matches at a variety of competitive levels, or practice with the Club's ball machine. CTTA also sponsors monthly Twilight Mixed Doubles events, followed by a social hour and dinner at the Club. Tournaments are part of the Club's holiday events on Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day, and a Club Championship tournament is held each year. In addition, there are opportunities for players to participate on Sanford-area USTA Seniors teams and club circuit teams.
